Late Update: Nishikaze 2012
Nishikaze was as simple as a mini convention could get and I'd say it was the smallest convention I attended so far. Still, I had enough fun although it's the first time I never bought anything at a vendor room. Not only that but like a complete idiot, I left the lights of my car on so the battery died on me. Fortunately, a nice person who worked at the convention helped me recharge it. The Touhou panel was absolutely hilarious. It went neither well nor poorly. It just happened that my panel was scheduled at the worst time possible. The cosplay contest was running at the same time and in such a small convention, that means nearly everyone wil
Hello Everyone!!! =D
Well I went to my city's Anime Festival(Nishikaze) last saturday and I must say it was great! Nishikaze is just a small festival held at Lethbridge's University. The show numerous differnet animes, have different panels(AMV's, Games, Rants, etc.), vendors, cosplay and sometimes there is a mysterious event thats only for adults(I couldn't go in sadly :tears: )!!!
This year it went from 9am - 9pm on the 8th of this month. Nishikaze is only one day so, if you miss it you have to wait another year before it comes again.
This years theme was "Mecha."

I'll be attending Nishikaze at Lethbridge this year. After the event went down, it has come back. Of course, when I first heard of it, it just happened that it was the year when it got cancelled and apparently disappeared forever. I don't really know what to expect there since I have no doubt it'll be a small event. Then again I went to Bellerose Con in St-Albert for several years in a row and while it's pretty small, I think it's pretty fun and to be honest, until last year, I had more enjoyment from that event than Animethon. Soba Bowl was the smallest event I went to yet and it was still good enough to keep me busy all day so I am rather o

Hello friends!
You may know the artists from Chinook Crafts. They are "the rupee guys", or "the guys with the Digimon Tags and Pokemon Badges".
On February 4th, they had a garage fire. Everyone is safe, but the garage is a loss, and one of their pieces of equipment (laser cutter) was incinerated. They've started a fundraiser to help finance a new machine.
